How to resolve packet overload particles bosses crash on Soulslike Weaponry mod (1.20.1+)

Follow these steps to help resolve any packet / particle crashes when playing on modded minecraft and fighting the bosses from Marium's Soulslike Weaponry mod.

For more information on this type of crash read the issues log here

This type of crash can mainly occur when fighting the bosses from the Soulslike Weaponry mod

See below steps to help resolve this.

First check what version of JAVA you are running. Chances are you may be running the default that comes with your launcher for example CurseForge launcher.

When in-game press F3 and take a look at the top right corner of the screen, it will tell you your java version.

As seen in below screenshot, we have the 17.0.8 version.

Now head over to your launcher. In this case we will use the CurseForge launcher.

Click the cog wheel to open the settings

You should see it mention that it is using the default version of JAVA

Pay attention to the installation directory

Once successfully installed, go back to your launcher, and manually select the java file from the new installation folder.

Click on Choose and go inside the installation folder

Next navigate to the folder as shown below and select the javaw.exe file

The launcher should now show the new directory for the java file

Now go back and launch your modpack again.

It should now show the new java version after pressing F3 in game

This should hopefully resolve the particles crashing that you might have been facing when fighting bosses from Marium's Soulslike Weaponry.
